Activities

In pairs, students create place value charts for 6-digit numbers. One student calls out a number, and their partner must correctly place digits in the chart and explain the value of each digit.

Ordering Challenge

Provide groups with sets of cards showing 6-digit numbers. Students must arrange them in ascending or descending order and explain their reasoning.
